Coverage Limitations

Lemonade pet health insurance limitations include:

• • Waiting Periods: After signing on, customers have to abide by a short waiting period. Any injury or illness claims made before the conclusion of waiting periods would be labeled as pre-existing conditions and not be considered for insurance benefits. Waiting periods include: two days for accidents; 14 days for illnesses; and six months for cruciate ligament events.
  • Pre-Existing Conditions: Any injury or illness that existed before the onset of Lemonade insurance would be labeled a pre-existing condition and not be considered for Lemonade insurance benefits.
  • Location: Lemonade is not available in every state. Please see the Lemonade website to find out if coverage is available near you.

How to File a Claim

Customers can file a claim through the Lemonade mobile app.

If a claim is accepted, customers are sent a reimbursement transfer directly to their bank account.
